Well, Chloe should have had her pups on Monday but it looks like the vet got it right. There's nothing happening, except a rather slim looking 'mum-to-be' with a 'told you so' look on her face. NOT FAIR ;)

I'm going to try again, I think. Either that or wait 'til the old girl has gone and bring in a new girl for Chance to play with :eek: :D

Initially I was going to wait until late spring or early summer to mate her but the vet said to mate her as soon as possible as she had had severe infection in her mammary glands every time she had a phantom pregnancy. I went with the vet, really against my better wishes. So I suppose I'm not as disappointed as I could have been. At least she is young enough to try again. Spoke to the vet today who said that she couldn't possibly have reabsorbed the litter when I thought she did ( possibly around 4-5 weeks) so maybe she wasn't pregnant in the first place.
