i am showing a 6 month old puppy and am thinking of changing food from pedigree. Any recommendations?

I am worried I might over feed on the expected weight food, though I am weigh out each meal and dividing accordingly. Any suggestions for health coat and general well being?

Thanks

I use Royal Canin and have found it excellent.

I wouldn't worry too much about over feeding. I never go bythe recommendations on the bags, they are usually too much, just keep an eye on your pups weight and adjust accordingly.

Hope this helps

hello sandrah,

is it ok to ask what breed your dog is?

I have a Dalmatian and a Border Collie, both are now fed on it. The Dalmatian is very prone to skin problems with certain foods, but is fine on this.

If you go to Champ shows the people on the stand are very helpful in finding the right one for your dog.

my dogs are all on pedigree nugurts (except the oldies who are on nutro senior) and i would change tem off it but i have a friend who feeds royal cannin and her dogs love it and have done really well on it. so changing is up to you.

as for over feeding, aslong as you follow recormendations then there will be no problem, if they seem to be putting on weight then just give them a little less and vica versa.

Hi, after a strong recomendation from friends our last 2litters of Pug pups hasve been reared on royal Canin. Very impressed with the development and weight gain of pups (although to be fair I was always very happpy with Eukanuba it is is a bit easier to get hold of). Not tried it on adults yet, but I know a 'gang' of Frenchis who look blooming on it.
bye
