My doggy keeps on sneezing. I am a bit worried that she might have something wrong with her. Any thoughts would be appreciated, Will probably talk to the vets tomorrow but just thought someone else might have experienced this

could be a cold or an allergy....is she off her food or lethargic?
she could have a foreign object up her nose, watch out for any green/yellow mucus...if your at all worried and she seems ill then i would take her to the vets :)

some dogs sneeze lots to get attention ........... honest :)

she does not seem to be ill or lethargic and she is not off her food. She is not just sneezing for attention. My partner has had a bad cold recently and I am wondering if she could have one too.
She has a runny nose too and keeps on sneezing and snorting. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to their dog?
My dog sneezes constantly first thing in the morning when I open the door to him and he is all excited. No idea why.

Hi Pat
Gus has been sneezing this past few days too. I remember reading on CD that dogs cant get colds but I did wonder if it was due to the central heating being on and the dry atmosphere ???

So does my mini...how strange! Both my husband and I comment on it most mornings...it's really noticeable.
If a grass seed (or any forein body)has got stuck in her nose that would make her sneeze a lot, will also cause a lot of irritation & an infection if it`s left. If she`s still sneezing a lot today I`d take her the vet, when it`s happened to mine they`ve had to have a nasal wash.

My boy has had a cold this week. I noticed that he was sneezing quite a bit more than usual and when I took him for a walk, he made a horrible noise when he ran, I couldn't work out whether it was from his nose or chest but it was a frightening sound. I hadn't heard a dog cough before and I think it might have been the sound of coughing. I took him to the vet who felt him and put a thermometer up his bottom (and charged £17 for the 2 minute consultation) and she told me to keep an eye on him. 2 days later there is no sign of the coughing and his sneezing has returned to normal thankfully. Are these bugs easy to pick up at this time of year I wonder?

Gus was the same recently . I have posted a thread on the Health board called *Possible Kennel cough variant* after he vomited blood which followed on from the sneezing :(
