....look in his basket?

our 12week old westie "Stevo" has a mania of putting and taking everything in/to his bed. It can go from the morning post to my umbrella. (even found my husbands fishing net in there)

if we cant find anything, the first place we now look is in his bed, 90% of the time we find what we are looking for in it!

He has even tried to get the broom from outside in there!!

have i the only crazy westie going???? - answers on a postcard....:D (or just mail)

hmm i think u have the same puppy as me.... my jack russell is 3 1/2 months old and i too find everything in her bed, this morning it was my partner's backpack, a rubber glove and a slipper. other things she's taken to bed with her involve my knickers, partner's underpants (she had those together, must have been raiding the washing basket!) a packet of ricecakes, a sponge (neatly shredded of course), a flip flop, the remote control, car keys, etc etc....
at least it makes it easy to find lost things ! :D

when my dog max was a puppy (he's 3 now) he used to hide things all the time and one day my son had left his half eaten chocolate bar on the hearth, it disappeared and altho we knew the dog had taken it we couldn't find it anywhere!
The next morning when my hubby sat up in bed he had the choccy bar stuck to the side of his face ....i nearly died laughing and he couldnt understand what was so funny :D, obviously max had hid it under his pillow :)

You have obviously never read the Westie Rule book then :)

If I like it, it's mine.
If it's in my mouth, it's mine.
If I can take it from you, it's mine.
If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
If it's mine, it must never appear to be your's in any way.
If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
If it just looks like mine, it's mine.
If I saw it first, it's mine.
If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
If it's broken, it's yours.

hi Lisa,

Thanks for that, that really made me laugh :D

You're right thou, havent heard of the Westie Rule book - but i would love to give it a read. Who wrote it so i can get myself a copy :)

Yep steve - Tigger who takes great delight in rounding up the other 2 dogs chews/toys and claiming them all as his.

So he currently has 3 nylabone chews that go to bed with him every night only 1 however is westie size the other 2 are for the lab and Afghan however he still manages to carry them all up the stairs and sleeps with one eye open watching over his treasures.

been there, done that, not nice :( when saffie my sbt was only a few months old she was fussing my nana and some how got her earing off,we didn't know whether she had accidentally(?sp) swallowed it or it had fallen inbetween the cushions on the chair or on the floor.so i spent the next week following her round the garden with my spade and a stick :P :(
we never did find it,i think either nana forgot and just put one in,or it fell down her blouse! oh the joys of having a puppy! though i wouldn't change her for the world :)
