today when i got in from taking my two younger sisters to scohool (mum is in manchester waiting the birth my nephew) i found tess busy crunching on something, i went to see what she was eating only for her mouth to calm shut, then out the corner of her mouth i saw a red beak, she had one of my zebra finches in her mouth, i tried everything to get the poor bird out of her mouth, when she crunched down i had to leave her there was now getting it from her now even if she had given it up i dont think i would have wanted it :s , i went out to the bathroom where the finches were only to find the cage in two halves on the floor, couldnt find any trace of any of the other three birds so open the back door to let the dogs out to start cleaning up tess' mess, as i opened the door one of the birds was sat on the arch way over the back door(it had got thru the catflap as there is no flap where jack used to use it as a pup he found out at about 6mths old he could no longer fit thru the flap) , i tried to catch it only for it to evade capture several times before flying off.
All we can think of is that there was i comotion in the cage that started her on her quest to 'free the birds',
tonight she is sat feeling rather content with herself that she helped her feathered friends (and got brunch at the same time)
