Hi, im dont no of any breeders but im just lettin you know i had to wait for months for a red so it myte be an idea to look at other litters, plus you say you would like a heavy big boned one, know breeder can guarentee this, my staffie red bitch is very tall and slim but both her parents were very short and both very stocky so it just depends on the pups. Ring the kennel club and they can send you a whole list of staff breeders.

No their not, i really wanted a red and had to wait, i started my search in Augest 2002 and finally picked my pup up in febuary 2003, it is a pain coz i think reds can look outstanding plus their that bit different which attracted me to the pup, i must have rung round 30 breeders and they all said brindle, i had a look at some litters but when i found a litter that had some reds in it and had an immediate look, found out the dam's and sires pasts were like and was convienced and bought a pup.

Wishfairy why not get in contact with downlends staffordhsire bull terrier club, theyll put you in contact with a man who is always aware of red litters about, hes called Fred, i cant remember his last name but they will know who your talking about.

I've actually asked a breeder to help me and he's looking out for a nice one for me :) His dog is lovley so it's just a matter of finding the right bitch and we'll be flying, lol!

There was a mating last week with a bitch he thought looked 'promising' so fingers crossed there'll be puppy news from me in the new year... oh well, at least by the time she's ready the weather will be picking up again :D

The whole thing is made all the harder because I'm in Northern Ireland.:rolleyes:
