Our 17 week English Springer Spaniel appears to be limping on her left leg for a few days. I checked her paw but that seems fine, so I think it might be something muscular. If it is muscular, how can I encourage her to calm down her behaviour so it strarts to knit. I have refrained from taking her on her normal exercise regime, but she still bounds about the rooms in the house. She does not yelp when I touch her leg, nor does she moan in discomfort when she walks. How long should I let her rest the leg? I would be grateful for any advice.

This is where it's so handy to have a dog whose crate trained............ Seriously though - it's not too late to think about introducing it now - provide her with plenty of low cal treats stuffed in Kongs, and maybe a bone to encourage her to settle, and be prepared to clip a lead on her every time she leaves the crate so you can control her, if there's no improvement within a couple of days speak to your vet.
