There was a question about it in your dog magazine this month. I believe there is only one known person breeding them. However as it incorporates three of my favourite breeds i bet they are lovely!!! (But rare and possibly expensive.) I can't seem to find any pics though. (Opps silly me, just found the photo gallery on the link! Duh!!!) They are so cute!
By the way not sure if they are a registered breed yet.

They were featured on the Welsh News a while ago. Look
here.
No mention of health checks is there? Sounds as if they will be registered on the working register.

Another crossbreed. Looking at the pictures there seems to be little common type at all which is surely one of the characteristics of a "breed". They seem to all take after one or other of the parent breeds. They may well be very cute and good natured etc. (like many thousands of cross-bred collies in rescue centres) but a breed they are not! And hybrid vigour?? Surely if she is trying to establish a new breed she is by now breeding from her "Welsh Mountain Dogs" only - and there can't be many of them around ... or is she still breeding in the parent breeds I wonder..? Ho hum - yes - that would give the "hybrid vigour" ... of a crossbreed! Janet
ps absolutely nothing against crossbreeds just the people who deliberately breed them and then pretend they are something else!

Hi Gemma
They are wonderful.  After seeing them I met Lyn and I have one who is brill.  My husband wanted a Newfy and I liked the Collie so we both got what we wanted.  His temperment is brill all the kids love him and we can take him anywhere.  I also feel safe when taking him for a walk.  He is part of the family and I wasnt a doggy person he has certainly changed my opinion.

Trouble is as they are cross breeds there is no way of knowing that another pup you have will be anything like the one you have met, it could look different and be for a totally different temperament. If a cross breed is what you want why not go to a few rescue centres until you find a dog you like, at least that way you will know what you are getting.
And people buying such dogs do not know if there is disease in the background epilepsy being among the most common.
