I am sure I read a post about a diffuser that was mentioned in easing stress of fireworks, can someone please tell me what its called and what it is supposed to do.

I am unsure whether this is the same thing my dogs behaviourist mentioned to help with destructive behaviour?? I am being a right clutz I know:D :D. Would be grateful if someone could enlighten me. I think it was a post from Jeangenie??

Hi,
Are you thinking of the DAP diffuser? It's a plug-in that reportedly gives off pheromones similar to those of a nursing bitch, to make a dog feel relaxed. My mother got one for her dog who makes himself quite ill with agitation over fireworks, and whether it was that, or the fireworks CD she used as well, or both, it's worked! This year he just raised his head at the loudest bangs and muttered a bit, but wasn't barking and huffing and puffing for hours like before. Marvellous!

Have you tried the search facility in the top right hand corner of the forum page? It is very helpful in finding lost threads :-)
