some of you might know that i had my 2yr old bitch mated about 3wks ago,i haven't taken her to the vets yet cos i didn't want them poking and proding and i read in the 'book of the bitch' that this is the most crucial time and that there not to get over heated or be poked ect as the foetuses brain and spinal cords are developing.Anyway her mamery glands have come up a little and she looks thicker across her back end,she sleeps all the time and is very clingy.It will be 4wks on weds and we're taking her for a scan around her 5th to 6th week.As i have never done this before i would just like you opinions to whether you think shes got hot buns in the oven or whether shes stone cold and we mated her on the wrong day?/or she hasn't caught this time?

You will have to wait and see what the scan shows and even then
you need to wait and wait and wait :-)
