One trick I found easy to teach was to sit them in front of you, then when you pretend 'sneeze', they take a hanky from your pocket and sit/stand there holding it! Start off by playing with the hanky with them, then when they're keen to grab it, tuck it into your pocket/belt with the end hanging out, then as they grab it you make the sneezing sound (which becomes their 'command' to take it), then praise. Make sure you always have a little bit of the end of the hanky sticking out where they can see it though.

if your pup can give paw/shake hands, then you can modify it to 'hi-five', get your pup to give you his paw with the command you use, and gradually move your hand higher and higher, when your pup can high five start to add the command give me five, eventually he will get some learn quicker than others, tess gives paw, then the other one, then she will hi five, she begs (to the command 'up') and at the mo we are learning to wave, the kids think its great as if i stand behind them she will do the tricks with them on my hand signals as they arent always clear in what they are saying so tess takes he rcue from me.
dont know how she done it but someone that i used to wort with used to 'shoot' her staffie with her finger lucy would then fall to the floor and roll on her back 'dead' all for a sausage :D
