Hi everyone, just joined, but before I got round to the hello post I find I need a bit of help!
I wormed all my dogs yesterday at 10:30am, but a 3pm one of the dogs was sick (eating something he shouldn't have). Question is would you re-worm today? would it have had time to dissolve or not? It was Drontal plus tablets (1.5). Just asking incase someone knows the answer and can save me a call to the vet.
Thanking you all.
last month when i wormed my puppy she was sick about 4 hours later and i called the vet, and she said not to worry cos it should have already gone through her. so there was no need to re-worm

Without seeing the dog I don't think I can answer this question. Were it my dog and if the dog was still bright and active, showing no further signs of illness then I would assume that the sickness was due to the tablets working and I would continue with the medication. On the other hand, If I any reason at all to doubt I would be talking to my vet!
Some dogs do have an adverse reaction to just about any medication so it pays not to take chances.
Not a lot of help I know but I hope you can see where I'm coming from.
Regards, John

Thanks both for your replys. I will just ring to see if the tablets would have worked still. I know why he was sick though, eating bits of wood chopped out of the skirting board by the chippy we have here at the moment!! That was all he bought back up realy! He's never had a reaction to these tablets before, but I will bear it in mind.
Thanks
