Can anyone please help we are having problems with sky. Some of the channels message says,no satellite signal being received, some channels the picture is freezing. I have phoned the 0870 numbers they have had jim changing all the cables around still no further forward after about 20mins on the phone & jim crawling about the floor the girl went to speak with a colleage about it. After listening to recorded music for about 10mins i cut the phone off. Please help cos we are away to get the bacon rolls on

Have you turned the set top box off...waited for 10 minutes and then turned it back on?

Also , there has been a lot of sunspot activity recently and that can affect satellites

Try this...........

SWITCH OFF AT MAINS (BOX & TV)
SWITCH BOTH ON AGAIN &
ON SKY BOX PRESS BACK UP AND KEEP PRESSED IN UNTIL 3 LIGHTS APPEAR
WAIT.........sometimes up to 15 minutes
HOPEFULLY WILL HAVE REBOOTED ITSELF AND BE O.K.

Mine's is on and fine but my mother who lives round the corner from me is having major probs with her's.
We're in Glasgow.

We live in midlothian the channels we were not getting are now giving the message saying there is a technical fault with this channel please try later the other channels are still freezing over. Just have to wait & see.

Our sky was doing that I rang them hundreds of times and have had 4 engineers out
1st time they changed the lmb (knob on dish) no good they went away it was working a few hours later it wasnt,
they came again and changed the box they left it was working a few hours later it wasnt
they came again and changed the box again and matched the card with the box...guess what ....you got it
they came again and this time put up a new dish and checked the box,so far so good and that was a few weeks ago.
We turned the box off at the wall and waited 2 mins then put the plug in got the lights on the front but didnt turn sky on for a few mins..that helps.
I couldnt really complain about sky as the set up was a few years old,they were going to charge me 65 pound to come out and fix/replace what ever was wrong...I had a moan and said I would cancel sky and guess what..................they did the lot for FREE.
