Does anybody here know about this breed? I have loved them for years and know I spend most of my time at home I feel I can have one. Have sent a few emails to breeders butthey seem difficult to get hold of - I suppose not everybody spends as much time on the net as me! If anybody could help - be much appreciated!!
Have a look for breeders here Champdogs breeders index Please make sure that breeders have carried out ALL relevant health checks on both parents
Melody :)
Also worth remembering that some breeders prefer a letter or phone call to an email ;)

Hi have you tried contacting the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of GB for free breed information pack and puppy enquiries? if you contact Judy Creswick on 01670 512832 she will be able to help you. She advertises the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club in most of the Dog papers and dog magazines that are about and she is the best person to talk to. She will put you in contact with an area representative who has Wheatens themselves and if you feel they are still the breed you want she will put you on her puppy list which is where those that are breeding contact when they have a litter. It can take up to 6-8 months to be offered a puppy but it is well worth the wait. It took my partner over a year before she was offered a puppy but having her now we would never be without her.
I hope that this is of help. Most breeders that are members of the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club agree not to advertise their puppies and only use the puppy list which is probably why you are finding it difficult to locate a puppy.
