My pup was wormed when i took him for his jags but i havn't wormed him since how often do you do this? Is it better to consult the vet or buy from pet shop this is my first dog and he is now 9 months.

Hi,
The usual advice is to worm them every three weeks till they are twelve weeks, then every 3 months after that. The wormng products in the petshops are not generally very good, so it's best to get the best product from your vet, who will be able to advise on the correct dosage.

The main carriers of roundworms are puppies and pregnant and lactating bitches. To limit the amount passed into the environment, with the modern veterinary wormesrs the usual advice is that pups after their initial wormings by the breeder should be wormed at 12 weeks and every month until 6 months of age, and then every three months.
