Hi All,

Some of you may remeber about my 6 mth old cocker spaniel Homer, still wees
during the night!

Well it hasn't stopped, even after following many good suggestions. He has left
me no other choice then to get him a crate. Where can I get a crate from?
Do they sell them in normal pet stores? I'm hoping that after a week or so in the crate, he should improve- touch wood anyway!

Thanks for your help in advance

I got mine from Pet Smart, its a two door crate and was 29.99. I have a Westie and its plenty big enough for him and so I'd imagine that size would be good for a Cocker Spaniel too. Becks has been dry at night for about 5 weeks now and he doesnt wake up in the night needing to go.

My one piece of advice is if you do try and crate train do not give up too quickly as he will not take to it straight away but with persistance he will get used to it and Becks now goes off to sleep in his crate whenever he feels like it. Its not cruel no matter what others might say, its the same as not letting your child sleep in your bed every night, ( I went through this too!!) You feel very hard at the time but long term its best for everyone.

Hope it works out

Hi Zoe,

Thanks for your help. I wil try and find a pet smart over the weekend.
£29.99 seems a really resonable price too. I know it's gonna take a lot of hard work as he's so used to being able to rome around, but I know it will be for the best in the long run.

Thanks again
