i was talking with my sisters neighbour who has brought a cocker spaniel puppy, golden 8 weeks old,she got her from a pet shop in acton she said, why is some people are so stupid, also they where letting her walk around in there front garden where all foxes and cats go with out having her vaccinations, things like this really pi** me off, some people must be born without any brains.

I understand your concerns for the health of this puppy, but many people live in rural areas where they have no choice but to allow their puppies to go down in the garden where all manner of wildlife has access. The puppy will have some residual immunity left over from its Mother, and should by 8 weeks have started its puppy vaccinations, the ideal world doesn't exist unfortunately.Perhaps this garden is the only place the puppy can be outside.

i can see what you mean take a look at these puppy farms:((
but they your nearest Trading Standards Office, they can advise you of what action you can take if you have purchased a puppy that has fallen sick, that has died or if you suspect that the puppies paperwork is incorrect.

This is a list of pet shops and dealers that ‘buy in’ puppies to resell. Most operating with a Pet Shop Licence, however, some are known to have operated unlicensed.

i live 10 mins from one of these pets shops, the last time i went in to get some bird food i vowed never to go back, apparantley labradors are no good with children, spaniels dont have ear problems, this i agree on but as they have droopy ears telling someone that they dont get ear problems is like saying the pope isnt catholic, they do get ear problems some dogs more that other, and this is the icing on the cake, there is no such thing as heart problems in cavaliers.
My boss got a rotti 4 years ago from another one of these shops, (mainly to spite her dad as he doesnt like rottis, but also because she loves the breed), bruno has severe hip displasia and entropian in both eyes, she found out when he was 6 months old (when she met her now husband) that the place she got him from was the worst place she could have ever got him from.
what makes me really mad that the shop near me keeps there pups in what was the bird avaries and rabbit hutches when the previous people owned it, also the people that now own it got an award for small business for 'the care of their puppies'
rant over now

ok im sure your concernd about this puup in the garden BUT does her owner go out in the garden then walk all thu the house where the pup then walks? ok so i think that that is enough immuity for the pup! garden arn't that bad. also as for the puppy farms, does your friend realy kno as much as you do? some people go to pup farmers because they want a little pup!

they dont care where its from, they just want something to love etc.

yes she goes through the house where the pup walks it isnt her back garden its the front she has been putting her in,she went there because she said she had trouble finding one, which is rubbish if it where me i would wait or put my name on a breeders list, its my sisters neighbour not my friend,i just hope the pup is healthy and has no problems,i will keep you informed when i get more information.

i know people house train there dogs in there gardens obviously its because its the front, where other peoples dogs can get through as they have a open drive,oh well i shouldnt worry because its not my problem but im just worried about this little pup.

hi, i recently bought a puppy lab from one of the puppy farms on this list, dog about town in Notts, i paid £350 for a pedigree golden lab, they finally admitted on friday that his 4th generation has a x in it, they say golden retriver as he has a longer tail and some white on his coat?? I love him no matter what , i just wanted them to admit they had conned me.I asked for £200 back which they gave me. I rang trading standards, i am still waiting for them to call me back. I feel like such a fool, and am angry that i bought from a puppy farm and that i didnt educate myself before buying, then again i wouldnt have bogart! i just want to stop them conning other innocent and niave families like ours.
