Hi,
I have a 5 month old male staff who is perfectly house trained in the house, we have a leanto on the side of the house where my 2 staffs sleep, access to the garden, heat and lighting, however over the past week or so particularly when it is raining my dog has decided not to use the garden for his business for use the leanto instead day or night, no reason for this has they can get into the garden 24hrs no problem. This has only recently started as before he was trained at all times. However this is getting frustrating a bit.
Any comments

we have a covered run ,for use in the wet weather, and find it so much easier as you can leave the dog's out for a while giving them time to do there buisness

Staffys are sometimes thought of as tough dogs which isnt the case at all - they very much like their home comforts and it could just be down to the cold wet weather . Gus is now 1 and still looks at you as if you are soft if you want him to go out in the rain .
You may have to watch him for a while and carry on praising when he goes where you prefer him to

Sal's the same, open the door and it's raining or dark and she just looks at you as if to say, "you want me to go out there your coming with me" she'll go out if you go with her but on her own no way.
