I bathed Willis this morning - well, should I say, we had a family bath, with our clothes on, with the dog in it.
We have a big circular sunken bath in the main bathroom that we never use because it takes too much to fill..anyway, we put a couple of inches of water in, and he half got in. He then applied the brakes and reversed across the bathroom into the shower door. It took me, Jon and Zack all IN the bath to get him in - at which point we got soaked, he got out (again) and the bathroom nearly flooded. Its his first bath :D got there in the end though - we all needed a shower after to wash off the dog water  :D

he probably has water in his ears. take care and try to prevent excess water going around his head.
I bath my dog often as he sleeps with us etc. he is extremely good whilst in the bath. when he gets out and is dried he rolls around the floor, grunting and rubs up against the chairs, it drives me nuts, cuz they molt following a bath and hes White - i'm practically following him with the hoover !!! :)
i think the grunting noise is a sound of pleasure, sort of like when we scratch an itch... sounds pretty normal to me xx

As JG says this is normal, or at least has been with my Westies! You may also find he does a mad racing circuit around the house!! :) Just one thing, try not to bath your Westie too often. If he is muddy it is best to let it dry in and brush it out, maybe using some talc.

remember if your bathroom is beside a bedroom make sure the bedroom door is closed. Westie love it if you have left it open for them to roll on the bed
