Hi All, we have just brought home a border terrier puppy aged 8 weeks.
He seems really happy, playing well,running around, eating and drinking and
eliminating....!!!!
My question is when he is asleep he breathes REALLY fast and periodically lifts his
head opens his mouth and pants furiously for a few seconds then back to sleep and breathing really fast again.
Is this normal ?? its a long time since I had a dog to look after and maybe I am just worrying like a new time mum would be over her baby ???Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Could he be dreaming? I would be sure to mention this to the vet when you take him for his puppy check up so that he gives his chest & throat a good listening to
