I have a 3yr old choclate cocker spaniel that scratches all the time.Been to the vet twice, no help there. I know it is probably dry skin but is there something out there I can give her?

Could be what you are feeding her on. Try changing her/his food and/or try giving Brewers Yeast, Evening Primrose or old fashioned Cod Liver Oil Capsules (not all at once!!!)

Thanks for the help. I feed her Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken food, this is what she has always eaten. Have you ever heard of it?

Never heard of it sorry, tho' someone probably has & may be able to give advice. Have a look if it gives the protein content, it may be too high, or there may be some additive in it that she's allergic to. or it may be missing something she needs. Sorry not a lot of help .....

Freidns of mine have ayoung Am. Cocker dog with an ongoing skin problem - it improved a little with Evening Primrose added to his diet. However, they tried James Wellbeloved Lamb and Rice, and from about 10 days after feeding it the skin has cleared with no re-occurences.
bye
