I'm in puppy heaven,we have just been to see the litter, they are only 10days old! we are so lucky to have been invited to see them so early in their lives! They are gorgeous,we are having one of the girls!and we shall be visiting again a couple of times during the next few weeks to get them use to us and to 'socialise' with them,so they get our scent etc.and hopefully when she (Spice) comes home she will settle happily away from her little brothers and sisters.
Now I CAN SHOP SHOP SHOP,for bedding, toys, food (with advise from the breeder of course),wormer tabs. you name it,I'm going christmas shopping early!
It's all so exciting.....got couple of pics too!!for my album.

Hi Porkie, It's so exciting isn't it? Iv'e had many puppies and older dogs in my life but the pure exciement of the wait never fades. It's a bit like Christmas eh. I wish you many years of love and pleasure with your new 'baby'.

Spice is a smooth coated border collie, mum is black & white, dad was tri-colour,but all the puppies ( at this early age) look to be mainly black & white! She is one of 3 girls and she has a little 'star' shape in black on her head. The name came from the idea of our first dog being called Pepper (she was a x collie, all black),the time of year, being christmas when we go to collect her and the possiblity that she could turn into a 3 or 4 coloured coated dog yet!I'll keep you all posted on her:D

Congratulations! It's good that you are getting the chance to visit so often. We couldn't bring Sparky home 'til he was 12 weeks - holiday booked and I was working full time until we got him - but we visited him every week from the first visit. Wednesday was Sparky day. It was lovely watching how he changed each time, especially that week when his little snubby nose suddenly became a proper long snout! Just remember to take your camera! Good luck with Spice.

Thanks for the warning!;) She is not our first puppy, but the second. We were ever so lucky with the first,as she was naturally so well behaved, only chewed a slipper or two! and re-designed the garden a bit.Even so I know it will be worth all the effort and time,to say nothing of patience in the long run!Bit like chalk and cheese I suppose no two dogs are the same!

Yes Dizzy, in fact I went one better than that. Do you remember that there was only two puppies born, both bitches. Well, I kept them both. The 'Boss' still hasn't seen them they're 5 months now, but he knows what a wimp I am and he reassured me that he wouldn't be depriving me of either one of my 'babies'. Bless him.
