Whats the best way to cut a pumpkin to achieve the face etc ??
Want it to look good for when Josh gets home

If you have a little power saw I'd suggest using that!!! It's hell trying to use your best kitchen knives on it!

Draw out the bits you want to cut out first, then using the jigsaw thingy, just cut through the skin - you can then cut the top off & then scoop out the flesh (which you can then use to make pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie etc etc)

Cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin right round the stalk bit and remove all the seeds and pumpkin flesh, then get a really sharp knife and start to cut out the face you want on the pumpkins side, best to start with a nose then you can build the face round it, little tip cut out a couple of touth shapes in the pumpkins mouth, it makes it a little more creepy.

It does look better with the scarey teeth cut out - its all ready now for Josh to come home to - I cant wait :)

pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread is lovely mmmmmmmmmmm :) i cut the top off the pumpkin use a spoon and my hands to take the inside out then carve the face then leave the top off when done for the pumpkin to dry out
