WE HAVE A 18 MONTH BULL TERRIER BITCH WHO IS VERY FRIENDLY WITH PEOPLE AND DOGS, AND HAVE BEEN OFFERED A BULL TERRIER MALE WHO IS 14 MONTHS BOUGHT BY SOMEONE FOR "STUDDING OUT" BUT HAS NOW LOST INTEREST IN HIM. IF WE TAKE THE MALE ON WHO SEEMS VERY FRIENDLY WHAT SORT OF PROBLEMS CAN WE EXPECT ? IF THEY ARE OK TOGETHER IS IT SAFE TO ASSUME THEY WILL BE OK LEFT ON THEIR OWN? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECIEVED.

If you do take the lad on i would suggest you invest in some baby gates. They allow the dogs to become accustomed to each others presence but keeps them apart enough to avoid any scuffles! It worked with my boy and the pup we have, he learned to accept that she was there and they both got their own time in with us.
Gradually you can introduce them on leads inside, then try them out for a walk and eventually you can let them play in the lounge together. Remember to keep them seperate when you aren'y there tho!!!!
The seasons situation is easily conquered, buy a pair of sanitiry nickers!!!! They keep her rear covered so any randy little men can't get to her, but alow her to go on as normal.
Hope all goes well if you do decide to take him on!
Take care,
