I have a two year old bitch and a one year old bitch, the older one has never really put on any weight and compared to other staffords she is tiny. My youngest is twice her size. We have taken her to the vets on numerous occassions and she is fit and healthy, she has also been spayed but still hasnt gained weight. She eats Pedigree Chum meat with biscuit and she has plenty of treats, but she is not a big eater.

She often gets mistaken for been the puppy, bless her.

Is there any suggestions you can give?

Regards

I would change her food. Pedigree is a real hate of mine, i have never had success with it. Tinned meat is 80% water of something, so basically you are trying to get her to drink her way heavier.
Have you considered fresh meat instead? Or possibly a complete food such as James Wellbeloved.
Personally i feed Chudleys, it brought my bitch back into condition after having pups. She had lost quite a bit of weight and this built her back up slowly, with good old excercise too of course! I have a pup eating the Junior, she is a nice weight with plenty of substance and is really healthy.
Have a look, www.chudleys.co.uk, its worth a try.
Someone should be along soon with some other suggestions!
Take care

It can be just due to her breeding . Staffys can vary a lot from heavy "bull" types to lean terrer types and even vary in height . If the vet has checked her out and says she is fine and she is eating and running about I wouldnt worry too much :)
