I have a 10 month old staffie bitch. Most of the time she is quite hyperactive. Is this normal for her age and will she calm down when she is older. And also at what age will she stop growing and reach maturity? Thank you

Hi,
She may calm down when she has had her first season we saw a huge difference once Ruby my 18 month old staff had her first season she is still boundy doundy but not as muchm she should stop growing around 2 to 2 1/2 however in height she should stop growing about 1 to 11/2 but stock out after then hope this is helpful to you. I have two staffies Ruby (red) 18 months and Murphy (red and white (5 months)

hi, a staff will reach maturity at around 2 yrs old and will stop growing taller at around 18 month although will still fill out for another year or so.
i too have seen a difference in mine since her first season - dont expect miracles tho lol.

Oh My God, I'm shocked to hear they don't stop growing, height wise till about 18 months.
My Staff pup is only 8 months old, and he's as tall as I'm hoping for, :) He must be 15in, I don't really want him any taller. I honestly thought he'd stopped growing, and would just fill out slowly for the next year or so.

A lot of Staffs reach their full height WAY before 18 months - it is the filling out that CAN take up to 2 and half years .
It all depends on the breeding . Some pups get their height and shape early on ( there were some HUGE minor puppies at Midland Counties and they were even bigger than Gus ).
Some are slow maturers and will take their time
Mitch the height standard is 14-16 inches so Toesy is within the standard.
