As I'll be new to the show ring next year with a new addition hopefully , I was wondering if at Companion SHows (For my castrated 3 yr old other dog) you had to do all the standing & inspecions from the judges just the same as a breed / champsionship show or whether they are just abit of fun (I think he'll just happily sit there and let the world go by) . Thought I'd better find out before going to one ! I know it sounds like a stupid question but hey I'll ask anyway.

Hi,
I don't know about the novelty classes, but whenever I've been to Companion Shows the pedigree classes have been run just the same as in 'proper' shows. So yes, standing, moving, stacking (if your breed is stacked), teeth checked etc were just the same.

hiya

the pedigree classes are done like a proper show, novelty classes are all fun except for the handling. in most cases!
