Hi, I'm sure this subject has been dicussed a few times before but the search didn't bring any results so sorry to repeat topic but I'm really fed up!
I have been taking my Boxer pup, Lara out every 30 min to do her business which has proved successful in stopping so many accidents in the house but she still hasn't learnt to tell me when she needs to go out, I am used to subtle hints as well as my older dog used to just look at me to go out! But this isn't the real problem as she is very much a baby at 15 weeks I don't expect to much but what I am fed up with is her peeing in her crate. I started using a crate at night over a week ago and had some success at first, but over the last few nights she has peed a couple of times at night only whining when shes finished the act and sometimes just doesn't tell me. I started her of in a very small crate (enough room to turn & stand) but she messed it which meant Lara was sleeping on top of her wee. That crate is too small now so have had no choice but to put her in a large breed cage and of course she does the same thing in that. I do put her outside the very last thing at night and get up early to let her out. My FCR was so clean as a pup, I can't understand why Lara is so dirty. Any advise would be very welcome!!
P.S. I praise lara when she goes outside and ignore accidents inside.
Thanks

Treat her as though nothing's happened and clean it up, out of her sight. Its probably because she doesn't want to be left in there.
My girl, when she was much younger, would do the same. I let her sleep in it, she would just have to be bathed every day to keep her clean. In the end i think something just clicked and she stopped doing it, plus, she was so well bath trained. She actually just jumps into it now!!!!!
Just put up with it, she'll sort eventually!!! Every dog is different.
Take care

She is very very young at 15 weeks and she probably can't hold it all night. What time does she go out last and what time does she get up in a morning? The problem is she hasn't had time to settle without the crate, then in the smaller one, now in a larger one - and every time you change something it disrupts her... go back to basics :)
