would really appreciate some ideas on naming a staff. Unsure as to wether it will be male / female.
male = Blade
female = zena
Already have staff named taz. Would like an unusual name.
Any ideas ?????

Female-Akira
Male-Memphis
Female-Beau
Well, my 3 are Lily (the bitch, 2yrs old) and her two pups that we kept from her litter are Marmaduke and Beetle (both boys, obviously I guess!)
One of the other pups is Alfie, his new owners named him the minute they saw him!

I quite like sound of tetley and diesel for males.
i think unusual female names are harder.
beau = is this prounounced bow. My friend has a male staff called beau - so is this unisex?

Ok, you did ask for unusual names for Staffies........
I like old fashioned, slightly comical human names for my pets, so how about:
Boys: Brian, Albert, Stanley, Gerald, Fred, Boris, Harold
Girls: Gladys, Brenda, Dolly, Gertie, Nancy, Vera
Good luck in naming your pup!

Alfie, just wanted to say I agree with you on the comical old fashioned names, unfortunately we ended up with Buster for our Staff, my 13 year old son named him, when he came to us we said the kids could pick a name, unfortunately the choice came down to, wait for it, PICKLES or Buster. You can understand why we picked the latter! My friend had a Staff called Tillie and another one had an EBT called Cybil. Nicki

thanx for all the ideas.
narrowed it down to about 10.
then had a call the bitch delivered 2 weeks early. had 9 pups.
went to pick ours.
black and white boy - naming him BAILEY!!!!!
By Wishfairy
Date 27.10.03 12:00 UTC
NINE PUPS!!!!
OMG that's good going for a staffi, hope they all survive for her.
Bailey is a lovley name. We've picked Stitch (as in Lilo and Stitch) cos he's a tiny wrecking machine who would die for his family :)
:( The name was the easy bit now we just need to find the pup ;)

I would actually call it something like cuddles or fluffy because its so far off what you would usually call a Staffie it sounds great, i know someone who has two Japenese Chins and their called Tyson and Bruno.

My neighbour over the road has a Bull mastiff called Cuddles!
Apparently it took the vets by surprise when he moved here he booked in his surname then the dogs name and when he arrived at the surgery the nurse burst out laughing :D

today i have thought of a different name for him......Rocco.
The pup i have chosen is the bitches owners favourite and apparently he wanted to keep him. He has named him Chester, which i like.
Having the markings he has he suits an excellent name.
What do you reckon to Rocco??
By Sooz
Date 28.10.03 16:53 UTC
Rocco, liked it until Madonna named her sprog by it........... but if you can get over that, cool name.
How about Spike or Henry? :)
