hi everybody i just wondered if someone can tell me how many breeds of dog a registerd breeder can have i was told it was 1 of a friend i have just been reading the loot ads and some 1 is selling 2 lots of staff pups and shihtzus and westies all under different mobile numbers but the map shows the same area of manchester i have not rang these ads yet will this person be a registered breeder or a dealer it does say the pups have pedigree papers it just seems strange to me that there is only a mobile number so any advice please

Don't think it matters how many breeds you breed you can still get a licence from the local council. The rule is you have to be registered if you breed more than 4 or 5 litters a year. Which means, apart from a few people, you are better off buying from some one who is not registered and only breeds one breed and breeds only once every year or so. If you are not in a position to know when you go to look at a litter if it is a well bred one or not I would advice always to go through a breed club when looking for a pup. You do then have some degree of support should anything go wrong.
