Hello,
We've just got another flat coat - our other is now a year old and we thought he'd like some canine company!!
He's coming up to 12 weeks now and has a couple of irritating habits which I'm struggling with. As far as toilet training - he knows to go outside (he's crated at night and we've had no problems). Each morning he rushes out and its like niagra falls!!. The problem is regular little wees in the house. Is he marking already? Any hints on how I can get him to stop. I already praise like mad when he goes outside and tell him off if I catch him mid-stream!
Many thanks
Good luck with your new FCR, mine is a girl, and was house-trained really quickly; so perhaps it is something to do with marking

I'm sure more knowledgable folk willl be along with some advice for you.
What are your dogs called?

Wouldnt be marking at 12 weeks! He is just a puppy, take your time and dont get stressed he will only pick up on it and become anxious about going to the loo, do what i do with pups take them out on the hour every hour without fail, and please dont tell him if he makes a mistake, how was he to know? Rmember they dont have the same bladder control as us and good luck with your new pup!
Also if he is like Nigra Falls first thing in the morning is it worth taking him out at say 3am until he is a bit older just so he doenst get so desperate? If you think he doenst realise he is doing it best get him checked out by a vet? :)

he a baby still.and boys take long to train than girls.

Great news about Crufts Terri; I'm hoping to go next year, so I'll look out for you ! I wish you every success with your next litter :) Perhaps I can come and see them, as I missed visiting your last litter, due to Brees' ear infection.

Thanks for the advice so far. We've had a better day today -only one widdle in the kitchen, that was because no-one noticed Travis stood by the back door wanting to go out.
He's having his second jabs tomorrow - freedom at the end of the week!!
