we have a bitch collie who we have had for a month now. we know that she was attacked by three dogs and nearly lost her tail, sorry i forgot to say she is a resuce dog. but she has started to snap for any reason at other people and at the children.
she does'nt tend to go for me as she follows me every where. she is starting to scare the children as well as me. it does'nt seems to be for any reason, you could just be storkeing her and she will just try and bitte you or growl. if anyone has any tips as to what i could do that would be great.
she is starting doy training on the 30th octecber. and she is going to be sread on thursday the 23th.so i am hoping this will as well.
thank you
How old is she and do you know any of her history? As children are involved i would ask for a behaviourists advice as aggression is a difficult matter to advise on without seeing the dog. Just out of interest, did you mean she is going to be spayed on the 23rd of October? Just wondering because when my bitch was spayed she wasn't able to go to training classes for 10 days as the stitches don't come out until then. It might be an idea to check on this as you might have to delay your training for another week.
