Hi Andy(??) there is a number of people on this board who work their dogs. As to whether there is any in your area i'm not sure. How old is your Springer? Hows training going?
Best wishes, John

John and kia m. glad to know there's folks out there, interested in my trials/tribulations. The springer is 9 months; I've only had him a month
but we're progressing . Got some basic obedience sorted, progressing to stopping at a distance. Also introduced whistle and is quite happy with short blanks at close quarters. Got him retrieving seen and unseen dummy; getting pup to sit for a minute or two prior to sending him.
Only current problem tends to drop the dummy within a yard rather than holding it until I take it . Whines when excited, but thats probably why he was offered to me. Guess thats not really solvable; but I don't view it as a major problem.
Speak to you again soon I trust. . . Andrew

Welcome to the forum Andrew :-)
For starters have a word with Mr.Proctor on 01782 720543. He is Field Trial Secretary for the ESS Club. Hopefully, he should be able to tell you if there are training classes in your area. I have a list of FT Societies, and when I get five minutes I will go through it and see if there are any others in your area. Are you a member of the BASC? If you are, contact your regional office as they may have members in your area who could also help.
Leigh
NB: If you find a miracle cure for whining, that doesn't involve a side by side, I'd be interested to hear :D
