Hi all,
I'm shaking as I write, still not over the shock.
Went to a local open show today with Toesy my 7 month Staffie, and wait for it!!!
He went in the open class with 7 others, 3 which were pups, and got best puppy, and best in breed.
Went on to get 2nd in group, 1st puppy in group,
Then brag brag Res, best puppy in show.
I'm totally over the moon, I just didn't expect it at all
And Lesley, your right the feeling is fantastic. Well worth waiting for.
The best thing about it all is the fact that he won 5 adults Staffies, The second in class was a pup too.
The judge said they were both really lovely pups.
I still can't believe it.
Michelle.

Well done to you both!!!!!
I am a proud Grandma, as the first offspring of our Imported boy went to their very first show today (two litter sisters) one of them won the Hound Puppy Group, and the other was third in the Hound Puppy Group!!!
Sounds strange, but as there were no breed classes, one was entered i9n AV Hound Puppy, the other AVNSC Hound Open, and so they were both unbeaten puppies eligible for the group :D

At Open Shows you have to win either Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show or Best Puppy in Show to qualifiey for Crufts 2004. It was a really good win but not a qualifier Im sorry to say. Never mind you still have Midland Counties and LKA to try for a qualifing place.
