I've just been tidying the garden this w/e,for want of something better to do! Did you know that the coco garden mulch is dangerous for dogs? I didn't until I saw a tiny sign at the garden centre.I have now had my gardening books out to see what else is 'dangerous' for dogs and puppies in particular!!
I think I am probably mad tidying it all up and mulching anyhow, with a new pup hopefully on it's way in a couple of months lol.

Would it be o.k. to let the pup wander in its own garden, whilst under 12weeks,when we have a couple of local moggies who visit now and then?
All my prickly stuff has been cut right back now and no little branches at pup level exist,in fact it's all rather barren, but I used a bark mulch in the end.;)

Hi

I think coco mulch is dangerous because dogs are allergic to chocolate and in large quantities is supposed to poison them.

Hi,
It's a chemical in the chocalate called theobromine that's toxic to them.

This has more detailed info if you want it.
