I have to take my lab to liverpool university vet hospital on 27th Oct and need to know where in liverpool it is situated, is it central, liverpool south or north or where?? I am going to have to stay a couple of nights at least so need to sort out accomodation but liverpool is a big place lol (well compared to the island) and want to make sure I find something near.

Anyone know??

Oh forgot to ask, I might have to take my 16 week lab puppy with me too ( looks that way) so does anyone also know a GOOD Kennel near the university that I can leave the puppy for a couple of hours if necessary ( hate to leave her in the car where I don't know the area)

Hi,
I think it will be the U.of L. small animal hospital. (There's a unit for farm animals too) Is this the one?

Small Animal Referral Hospital
( University of Liverpool )
Crown Street
Liverpool
Merseyside
L7 7EX
0151 794 4290

If so it's fairly central. Look at this link and it's between the (human) hospital and Edge Hill

This is a bigger scale but you can zoom in and out anyway

Afraid I can't help with the other questions.

Hope you find it!

Kath.

EDIT. Have changed it so it puts a red circle on Crown St.

Hi Everyone

Thankyou so much for replying and the fantastic links it is much appreciated, will check out the hotels/travel lodge in the area around to see who will take dogs (not going to be that easy with a not yet completely clean puppy tagging along as well but will take the crate with us lol) . Didn't realise it was right in the centre, have no idea of the area as it is around 300 miles from us. Don't yet have the street number my referral vet on the mainland is sending me details through the post of the vet she is now referring us to. when I get it I will certainly post it. Having dogs certainly makes me leave the island for places new, just a shame it is always worrying circumstances, but wouldn't be without them anyway.

It's very central in Liverpool. They're great there, I can't sing their praises enough, they have done so much for Dizzy I will be eternally grateful :-)

Thankyou for that, I do trust my referral vet and know she would only refer me to somewhere good but it is nice to know others have been very happy with the care there ;o)

Hi Ebony, it`s right in the middle of the uni area, just a few mins from the city centre & the Royal L/pool hospital, top of Brownlow Hill. I pass it every time we go to town when I`m over there :)
Can`t help you any further tho as I`ve been away too long sorry, but someone else might be able to. :)

Hi Christine and Gina,
can you check my maps above to make sure I've got the right place!!

Thanks
Kath.

Morning Kath, yes you`ve got it right. Brownlowhill is just off the top of your map & is one of the main roads into the centre & Crown St runs along the top of it :) The farm place has a picture of a cow on the wall outside it, passed it every day doing to school & the Catholic Cathedral is just further along :)

Morning Christine,
Thanks... didn't want to send her to the wrong place!! You can't imagine a farm place in the middle of Liverpool ( I used to live in Formby, just up the coast). Stopping the traffic for a herd of cows! :D

Kath.
EDIT: aaarrhh. Pine trees and the Red Squiggles!

No Kath it`s the same Crown St. it used to be upper & lower I think but its all just a continuation so don`t worry :) I don`t know where in Crown st the vet place is so if Gina or Ebony gets the street number we`d be able to tell better from that, but I`d think it`d be round the corner from the farm one :) It`s a well known area so she`ll be OK.
Hey I remember when I used to go Picton Rd baths & walk so we could spend the bus fare on sweets we used to pass a dairy & it had a couple of cows  Long time since I`ve been to Formby tho but used to like going there. :)

I've just had another look and there are TWO Crown Streets! By your directions I think it's circled
the wrong one. Is this better?

Thankyou, have just booked in at the travel lodge Liverpool south, about 2 miles away was going to book at the Liverpool central travel lodge only a half mile away but they have no car parking!! And needed to book a disabled room as at the moment my three legged lab cannot do stairs.
