As some of you may know we had our boy Archer PTS last week.It was a horrendous experience and a hard decision to make even though we know it was for the best.
Today we had a card from the vets.It was a 'deepest sympathy' card and had been specially modified for us since the print inside read..
TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED..
''WHY US''
GOD REPLIES,
''I LENT YOU MY MOST PRECIOUS OF GIFTS,THAT YOU WOULD LEARN OF LOVE AND YOU HAVE DONE WELL''
''I DID NOT GIVE ARCHER TO YOU .HE IS MINE AND I HAVE SENT MY ANGEL TO BRING ARCHER HOME''
It was then hand signed.
Don't know how many vets do this but thought it was a wonderful....despite making me cry AGAIN!!

That is a lovely touch. I hope you are OK Nikki
when we had our lab pup fergus PTS sleep we received a sympathy card, we had also sent the vets a thank you card for all their help with fergus and sent them a photo of him, it was up on the wall till early this year and then put in an album in the waiting room for all vistors to look at, and when jack was registered at the vets he received a welcome card, i think it adds a nice touch :)
So sorry about Archer, Nikki. The vets card sums it all up eloquently.
