I have a really ancient mongrel who is leaking whilst sleeping, and also does not often make it outside before peeing.

My vet has suggested a homeopathic remedy, which we are going to try. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Thanks

I also have an old 10 year old, so far doing pretty good but slowing down. How about diapers? I know you can get them for dogs that have trouble controling their bodily functions. Seen them in the petstore and they came in all different sizes, looked like depends for people but ment for dogs. Hope this hepls some.

How are his legs Katrina? This happened to our 12 year old bc He was having problems standing after resting .The vet gave him medication to ease his joints and the incontanace stopped. He lived another 3 years after this .He could also have a bladder infection you really need to pop him along to the vets .Best off luck.

hi Katrina
Just seen your post, Our old man was on propalin for quite a few years for `dribbles` and `incontinence` which worked smashing.

Just an idea !!!!

Thanks Hilary

Took him to the vet Monday, and got some antibiotics in case it's bladder infection.

If it turns out just to be an incontinence I was wondering about Propalin, by departed GSD bitch was on it for a while and it worked brilliantly - wasn't sure about it for a lad though! Might suggest this to my vet if the antibiotics don't do anything.

Hi Callow

Took him to the vets Monday evening, and we're taking the bladder infection approach first. His legs are very arthritic and he is on NSAID for this. So we'll see how it goes
Thanks for reply
