hi christine my book that i refer to much of the time is one by Richard Allport (he also writes a colum in dogs today)'Heal your dog the natural way'. We had the pleasure of meeting Richard a couple of years ago with our poorly cocker, and i can honestly say it was a ppleasure to meet him , i just wish all vets could be as caring and gentle as he was with molly.
Hi D/Bee, haven`t got his but it`s on my list :) I`ve heard good things about him & his book. My subscriptions have just finished for the dog papers & when I get round to it I`ll subscribe to the magazine. The one I use the most is Pitcairns The Complete Natural Care for dogs & cats.

Hi all, just thought I`d mention the 2 schools of h/pathy, clinical & classical. Basicaly one is giving only one treatment at a time, the other is giving more than one at a time. I`m not that good at explaining things by writing so maybe someone more eloquent could do it please?? :) :)
Also it`s important to match the remedy with the patient because it`s about treating the whole body & not just the illness. I`ve not had cause to use it too much yet but I`m sure I will eventually so I`ve got myself a few books & websites & a small stock of remedies ready. I`d only treat minor things myself & would get professional help from a h/pathic vet for anything else. Also the quality of the remedies themselves are important so only buy from reputable firms.

Hi Kath, thinking about getting Wollf`s book but I`ve got Macleods Materia Medica & his one for small animals, also Chris Days book. Has Wollfs got anything else in it or just all h/pathy?

Hi Christine,
Yes, it is just Homeop. This is where I got it from as it was the cheapest place I could find ( and they knocked £1 off for first order).
http://www.cygnus-books.co.uk/mind_body_spirit_books/homoeopathic_medicine_dogs.htmWolff comes over as a caring man with a lot of wisdom and the book is very "readable". Only a basic remedy list and some constitutional types but will go with your Mac's Materia Med.
I don't know if this link will work but if it does you can look at some sample pages and the contents page.
