i'm just woundering if anyone out there could pass on any advice on adding to my family of 2yr old female lab and a 2 yr old lab/springer male. We are currently looking at getting another lab or a working cocker spaniel but im a bit undisided on which sex to get. personally i've always preferred bitches, but ive read a couple of articles about bitches squabbaling about top dog, oh i forgot both my current two have beeen neutereda and my new one would be too. any advice please!

OOh Dawnbee, I just posted something similar under General. I shall be interested in the response.

I already have two dogs, a 5 yr old female and 5 yr old male. We have decided to get a male this time around as of my two existing dogs, my bitch is the most pushy and willing to rumble - nothing particularly serious - and my boy is generally very laid back. But I am more than aware that things will not always go smoothly and the pup will be seperated from the older dogs (and children) when we are not around to supervise, although I am a full time Mum so I'm home a lot - perfect for loads of training and socialisation!!!

Hope all goes well, have fun!

Hayley
