Hi Ace,
could you tell us a bit more e.g. what's given, how often, where you get them, are they an all-in-one or given separately, cost etc.

many thanks,
Kath.

Hi,
My obedience instructor just gave me some info on this yesterday, as she is really against booster vaccinations. She uses homeopathic nosodes, that dissolve on the dog's tongue - I think to start with it's one a day for about a month, then one a week - though I can't quite remember exactly. She gets them from www.Weleda.co.uk - I've looked on the website, but can't actually find any mention of these nosodes, but the number of the pharmacy is 01159448200, and they are called dhlp nosodes (about £9 for a bottle which apparently lasts a good while).
The dhlp stands for distemper, hepatitis, lepto and parvo.

Hi Kath,
Just remembered, for some reason you're not supposed to touch the nosodes at all, so apparently what my instructor does is tips one onto a teaspoon, then drops it on the dog's tongue and holds it's mouth closed for a few seconds, to let it dissolve. All sounds a bit fiddly!

I use the lid of the bottle & tip it on to the back of the tongue & it takes seconds

The active part of homoeopathic tablets is on the outer layer which is why the tablets should not be touched The outer layer dissolves instantly it meets the saliva

Hi Hilda,
I use a mixture of methods depending on the animal.

Humans (animal??)... I tip it into the lid

Dog... I can give whole on a spoon, crush between spoons or use a spray

Cats.... I always crush between spoons as they hate the sprays and the tablets usually come out again ( obviously I can't pick them up to try again).

Cows... I bought the sprays originally for the cows as it's so much easier than trying to tablet them, I can spray either in the mouth, on the nose (you know cows...always sticking their tongue up their nose!!) or even on the vulva ( very useful if you get one that head-butts)

I've had tablets from Boots, health food shops and Suma Wholefoods (but you need a trade card) and the sprays I get from
