Boscoe is doing his first show on the 11th october,he is only in 2 classes, but at least we get to meet lots of other kerry owners and hopefully we will get some hints and tips from them:D
can anyne tell me how it will stand with the judge,as Boscoe likes to jump up and play when the judges go over him,he is good with his teeth as we tell him to smile and he seems ok with this, its just when they approach him or speak to him he decides its playtime,i know he is still only a baby but thought maybe there might be some tips from someone

Hi Mel
whereabouts in Ellesmere Port is the show as thats by me.
I think it depends on the judge and probably the breed on whether they frown upon this or not . Some are tolerant and understanding in that you do have a pup and some will penalise you for being an inexperienced handler . As long as the judge is able to "go over" your pup that is the main thing .
I have seen pups that wont walk well , being given another chance and going on to win the class
Good luck :)

its the british legion pub i think near blue planet.i hav done a run thruonce and visited the blue planet as a reason for going, its about 1 and 1/2 hours from me,im not very good at directions whilst im driving i have to have someone tell me where to go. my hubby was going to come originally but he is going to iraq the tuesday before the show,o im taking my friend who grooms boscoe,so that is a definite benefit.i think i will be penalised because of my appearance more than boscoes abilities(piercings cropped hair etc)do you think i should make extra effort with my dressing,or should i wear casual and comfortable?

well!!!!!
2nd of 2 and 5th of 5 but im not bothered it was an experience, and he got a rosette for his 2nd,and it was a champ show so im really pleased with him.Boscoe hasnt shown outside before either so it was totally new for him,at training we are always inside,so as the saying goes "things can only get better",he is only 6 months old and was really well behaved,he is sat chewing his treats now
