It is not advisable to change a pups diet when you first get them.If you are buying from a responsible breeder they will know and be feeding the best food for you pup and will be willing to advise you of any dietary needs to raise you pup to be a strong healthy adult.
If you are not buying from a good source then intoduce changes gradually.
I feed Autarky which is all natural as well as VAT free and the dogs love it

Nature diet is a great food, NO additives or colours or other nasties. As long as you change your puppy over gradually, say over a week or so, you will be fine.

Hi,
I agree with Dawn, a natural diet is the best, but as Archer said don't change it immediately. Choose something you want to feed and leave him on the food he was used to for about 2 weeks and them slowly (over another week) change him onto your chosen food.
Naturediet is a VERY good food and as it says is completely natural and complete, I would definately go for that one!!!

thank you all, i will keep on the food he was brought up on (skinners field and trial) for 2 weeks
then change over to naturediet, i want my little pup to grow big and strong, so i want to find the best food that will help him grow to his full potential.
thanks again

I used to feed skinner's field and trial for my dogs untill about 6 months ago and after reading about BARF I changed my dogs over on to this routine, but I am afraid that my dogs have lost condition, I was always complemented on the condition of the dogs that I showed, one of which was the top winning bitch in the breed for several years, I have now returned to skinner's but is as with most things what suits on will not suit another
