Got lamb hearts to cook and slice up as a training treat today. Can I just boil them? Looking forward to stinking the kitchen out as revenge on an unappreciative tribe :)

Hello!
I give them to my dogs raw, they love it and the house doesn't stink!

would i just ask the butcher for some heart or would i specify which animal?
Would it be o.k to fry lamb hearts lightly?Does anyone know what the nutritional value of hearts is?

I picked the lamb hearts up in Tesco at the chilled counter.

hiya
thought i'd throw my penny's worth in
i feed a raw diet to my mob of 5 which includes ox heart for the smaller dog's i'd give say half of one and my larger dog's a whole one i do not cut it up as half the pleasure for the dog is in the eating now this is there dinner but on other day's they get chicken wing's everything i feed is fresh and uncooked they do get veg but not often they will also get the odd egg or fish to top up on oil's and some vits
i also feed them bones as feeding just chicken wing's on there own would not clean there teeth or exercise there jaw's enough i don't feed the over large cow bones as they can cause too much damage to the dog
i have fed pup's as young as 5 weeks on raw chicken wings and they have loved them and coped with them better than you'd think
now this is only what i feed it works for my lot it may not for yours plus not everyone has the frezzer space or time to feed raw and let's face it some people just can't handle the thought of a raw ox heart hanging out of there dog's mouth
good luck with your dog's
david
