Spencer is a 12 month male dobermann, we have had him since he was 8 weeks, I love my baby boy very much but we have a big problem with chewing! Spencer will not chew anything in the house apart from his bed (Which he has already had a few) he now sleeps on a rug because I cant cope with the mess or expence. We have wooden floors, steps and furniture which are of no interest to Spencer,
However Spencer has chewed through 2 Splash Pools at £300. each. clothes, sheets (on the washing line), books, my paper work, boxes and shoes. Spencer has his own toys (which last two seconds)and very large bones which he enjoys. my back garden is always littered with rubbish and I don't understand where most of it comes from.
Im only out for 2 and half hours in the morning and the rest of the day Im with him. However if I turn my back for 2 mins something has been nicked and taken to the garden.
We have 3 young boys 8 years, 7 years and 3 years old so spenc gets lots of attention.
Please help me, he's costing a fortune.
I also have a male dobermann he is 18 months old now,he loves to rip and tear his bed up,take things off washing line, pinch shoes etc i know it is wrong and so does he but he won't stop either.I spend alot of time with him and my 5 month old bitch playing games, hide & seek i just think this breed is the best but demand so much. If i think my dogs want to chew iput them in their crates with a bone, chew or kong filled with yummy stuff and they are happy for a while but i think it is a dobes character to be a clown . Can anyone else suggest an answer

I have 2 labradors (1.5 years & 5 months). They bring everything they can into the back garden. If I blink they will escape with a blanket or their new bed (lasted 25 hours before it was distroyed) Everything gets destroyed. The younger lab will drop what he has when I tell him to but the older one just thinks its a game of chasing. What I end up doing is turning my back on her and walking into the house. She's just not getting the idea yet. Its also costing me a fortune
