Hi Everyone, anyone going to Driffield next week?
I'll be there on Friday with Anton and Dilita. Why I kept a male I don't know as there's only 1 AVNSC gundog and showing starts at 9.00 AM, 9.00 AM aaaagggghhh !! Does nobody realise that I don't do mornings? Oh well should be a laugh anyway, knowing me I'll be there at about 9,00 prompt and have to rush into the class. Still at least my old girl will have time to get ready for her class.

I live in Doncaster so luckily only have a 5 min drive. I'll be there on Thursday, this is my 1st champ show and 1st benched show, so i'm feeling a bit daunted at the moment. Silly question, is there a seperate grooming area or do you do it at your benching spot?

Hi Terri
I can tell you now that the weather has changed its blooming freezing here in Manchester, I've got my fire on, hate to think what it's going to be like there in Yorkshire!! Last year at Driffield was one of the coldest days it was blowing a gale, I hope it's better on Friday.
I hope that you like my new lad, unfortunately he's right at the top of the scale, but it's funny because although he's tall he doesn't look all that big as he's got quite a small head and his bodies not too long. I must admit I totally adore him and it's a good job that Dilita and Anton weren't my first Spanish or I would have about 20 by now if they were all like them two. Though 5 is bad enough.

Hi, I'll be at Driffield on Saturday with my junior hound. I've never benched Willow before, does anyone how strict it is re. benching, as I don't particularly want to leave her on her own. I know that dogs should be benched at all times except for exercising, but at the Hound show most people kept their dogs with them and took no notice of the reminders.

I'll be there Saturday. No, they're not strict about benching - the show is well spread and you can take your dogs wherever you go.

I must admit I never ever leave my dogs at the bench they go everywhere with me.

I will be there Friday with Nico. An early start for us too!

Most of the larger hardy hounds are shown outside so there will not be many of those left on the benches, but it is not normal to take bitches around the rings when the dogs are being shown, some people do but in most breeds it is not normal.

Yeah, Diane I'll see you in the ring!! Them there Bracco's (I love them really!!).

I,m there on Sunday with my crested and the weather forcast is supposed to be good for the weekend , the wind is going away and it is going to be warm, so lets hope the forcasters are right as there is nothing worse than a cold day at Driffield champ show, mind you the cresteds are inside but it would be nice if it was ok to be able to show outside much prefer it and so does my boy.

Hi Dizzy no crested babies look just like any other new born puppy, does your friend show her cresteds and 7 is a really good sized litter hope they are all ok. And the weather tomorrow is supposed to be really nice warm and sunny with just a little breeze, so fingers crossed that the forecast is right.

Moonmaiden you won,t need your thermals it,s going to be a lovely day (she says with crossed fingers and toes)

I will do as there will be loads in my boys classes & they will take an hour each at least & the wind will blow straight through the Cavalier ring cos it always does :D off to bed now-dogs washed n dried food done & car packed

Oh! I am so jealouse of you lot being able to go to shows, sat here at 2.47a.m. reading through the board, just having a bad night and how I would love to be in the middle of it all. The only show that I have been to this year was the Tibetan Mastif Club show a couple of weeks ago and that was only watching, and Crufts. Roll on next year when hopefully I will be well, just feeling sorry for my self, I wish you all luck and look forward to tomorrow night when I can read how well you have done.

Well for some reason it was colder at Driffield than any where else in the area!
However, had a lovely time.......and watched Dizzy do her stuff again *yawn* :D
Congratulations :D
Didn't see anybody else unfortunately :(
But mental note to self - don't take daughter to dog shows..........:)

Many congrats to Dizzy again :D :D Just had a peek at the results ;)
Melody :)

Well done Dizzy I bet you were in the Bar before I was in the ring Oh the joys of showing cavaliers with 26 in one class & 24 in the other lolol Still got pulled out in a very nice Post Grad Class in last 6th Not bad for a very naughty boy who is not fashionably bred :D
