Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Unentered NFC

Hi - sorry to ask yet ANOTHER question. I'm going to Driffiend this weekend and usually take my older dog as a NFC entry for company for Willow. However, by error, I've forgotten to enter her this time. Would anyone know if I could still take her?
Thanks again for any help.

Think so Sarah, as if you have on 1 on you slip they would only let you leave with one. If you try to leave with 2, I presume they will stop you.

I am not 100% but any show I have been to they have been very stricted about it.

I am sure others will confirm.

There is usually an "unentered dogs" tent run by one of the dog charities. They ask for a donation (usually about £5) and your dogs can be benched in that in the same way as in the show. You can go and see them as often as you like. I have used it a couple of times for a puppy under 6 months and at Richmond when one had to go back for breeders stakes and the other two couldn't enter the show ground. The dogs are fine and well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to use it now, though I was a little worried the first time. I certainly wouldn't have left my baby there if I wasn't happy, and now I believe it was a gentle introduction to the bustle of a champ show. They'll take your mobile 'phone number to get in touch if your dogs are distressed, but that never happened with mine.
Have checked my schedule and though it doesn't say there is one, I'm sure there will be - phone the secretary and check - Martin Freeman 01623 747006

Driffield is one of the champ. shows that is very strong on security. I don't remember seeing a tent previously there for unentered dogs unfortunately.
