When my GSD was 4 months old she jumped off the arm of the sofa and hurt her shoulder we took her to the vets the next day because she was still limping, but he said she is just bruised and it should heel soon. The thing is when she is in the fiel playing for too long she comes back limping and if i wlk her for more than 30 mins she is limping, i use a magnetic collar and by the next day she is fine.
My question is will she ever gro out of it or will it always be with her. Is there anything over the counter that i can give to her to make it better.
She is nearly 6 months now so she is full of life and loves to play with other dogs

HI
WHEN MY BOY WAS ABOUT 6MTHS,WE WERE OUT MESSING IN THE GARDEN JUMPING UP AT ME AND WHEN I PUSHED HIM DOWN,HE GAVE A GREAT YELP AND ENDED UP LIMPING ON AND OFF FOR A DAY OR TWO,I TOOK HIM FOR A CHECKUP AT MY VET,ENDED UP BEING A PULLED MUSCLE,RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE SHOULDER.
LIKE YOU SAY,FINE ONE MINUTE AND THE NEXT HE WOULD BE YELPING AND LIMPING AGAIN.I THINK IT WOULD BE BEST TO GET ANOTHER OPINION.
BRUCE ENDED UP HAVING AN INJECTION AND ON ANTIBIOTICS FOR 10 DAYS,
GOOD LUCK
Gary and Louise

ps sorry about the capitals,no shouting intended!!

Hi co28uk
do you not think 30 mins is too much exercise for a 4 month old pup? You should not be using a mag collar or let her jump off the sofa!

Sam

If you re-read my post you will see it say WHEN my GSD was 4 months. She is now 6 months. I did not let her jump off the sofa on purpose, she just dived off the end.
Any y can i not use a magnetic collar, it is all natural and no chemicals????
My post also says at that she is nearly 6 months old now (which she will be on 11th October)

For me and ignoring that you mailed me about this!
A 4 or 6 month old should not be diving off the sofa!
I would only use a mag collar for a genuine problem, which you do not seem to have!
