My dog has now got to move up from puppy classes, can you tell me for maiden classes where it says have not won a 1st prize at an open or cham show, is this 1st prize in a class or 1st prize overall in the show? If we go on to win a 1st prize and have already entered the maiden class in another show do I have to declare the win and withdraw from the class?

It means a 1st in any class except Minor puppy and Puppy and anything else listed. Check the schedule and it will give you a date for the close of entries and you have to count any wins up to 7 days before the closing day.
