my post went so can any1 tell em at what ages poodle pups have their faces and feet clipped?

hi,
i agree with the reply you had,my grandmother bred poodles for over 30 years,i belive that she also had them trimmed every 6-12 weeks to stop the hair getting out of shape.

Was staying at a friends in March when 3 of his litter of Standards were ready to go - they were 12 weeks old, and the trimps they had then were the 3rd or 4th time they had been done. He gives them the first trim at about 6 weeks,and then every week or 2 just to get them used to the clippers, comb, scissors and general grooming process.

I had mine totally groomed at about 15 weeks. It is hard to find a groomer that will at that early age but continue calling groomers until you find one that will. I was told the second time I had him groomed how pleasing he was to work with. Get them in early and they learn very quickly.
